Do I have to install anything on my computer to use StreamAlive?

No, for many meeting and streaming platforms, StreamAlive can connect to your live session through the browser. For some streaming platforms like LinkedIn Live or WebEx, there isn’t an API for us to access the chat so we’ve built a Chrome Extension that reads the chat stream.
If you know how to share your screen to show a PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation then you know everything you need to know to use StreamAlive!

Do I have to install the StreamAlive app for Zoom to use it on Zoom?

No, you can connect to your Zoom session via the browser when you are logged in to StreamAlive. The StreamAlive app for Zoom brings the StreamAlive experience into your Zoom application and it can connect to your meetings with a single click.

Do I have to install the StreamAlive app for Teams to use it on Teams?

No, but many organizations have security policies in place to prevent all third-parties from Teams meetings. The StreamAlive app for Teams is a secure app that is approved by most IT departments for use in their company’s Teams meetings.

Why do some platforms require me to use the StreamAlive Chrome Extension for it to work?
