StreamAlive counts every comment from the moment it connects and ranks the people who write the most, live on your screen. Thank your fans by name, and pass the list to anyone who wants to follow up.

Works where you do: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, YouTube Live, LinkedIn Live, Substack Live and Restream. Also on your PowerPoint slides.

Other tools mean scrolling back through the chat and tallying who commented by hand, losing count and guessing who was most engaged. With StreamAlive, people keep chatting and the leaderboard keeps count.

In a Teams or Zoom meeting, “Keep chatting.” is sent in the chat and appears in the leaderboard on the shared screen, which asks “Your top commenters are…” Everyone else’s answers follow.

StreamAlive counts every comment as it’s sent. The leaderboard has been running since the moment it connected, so there’s nothing to tally and nobody gets missed.

StreamAlive helps me to acknowledge all my students with its creative visualizations that are shared with the class from my screen. Whether it’s word clouds or thought bubbles or the magical falling tiles, it’s wonderful to see students open up and become an active part of the class.

How to see your most active commenters in Zoom or Teams.

      1. You let StreamAlive into your meeting. That’s all the setup.
      2. Your audience chats the way they always do.
      3. StreamAlive counts every comment and ranks everyone as they type.
      1. Paste your Teams or Zoom meeting link into StreamAlive and press Connect. Admit it from the lobby like a note-taking app, and it starts counting at once.

      2. Share your screen and pick the StreamAlive window, or present from PowerPoint, when you want the room to see the leaderboard.

Comments are counted whether or not the slide is on screen.

      3. Show your Fantastic Fans slide when you want to thank people. It’s a slide in your StreamAlive presentation, and it’s been counting since StreamAlive connected.

      4. They chat in the meeting chat the way they always do. There’s nothing extra to type.

      5. Every comment counts toward the person who wrote it, and the leaderboard on your shared screen re-ranks as they type.

      6. After the session, the final ranking is saved in your report, with the number of comments each person left.

Illustration of the six steps. The presenter pastes the meeting link into StreamAlive and presses Connect. StreamAlive waits in the meeting lobby and is admitted, then posts in the chat that it is reading the chat. The presenter presses Share and picks the StreamAlive window, a poll appears on the shared screen, and answers typed in the chat fill the poll bars as they arrive. After the session, the report shows who took part and how each question landed, and an AI assistant can answer questions about it.

Fantastic Fans on its own, or on your PowerPoint slide.

Share the StreamAlive window and the leaderboard fills your screen. Or put it on a slide with the PowerPoint add-in, share PowerPoint as usual, and the ranking updates right there on the slide.

A Microsoft Teams meeting. First the host shares the StreamAlive window on its own; then the host shares PowerPoint, where the same interaction sits on a slide. Answers typed in the Teams chat fill the interaction either way. Choose a slide in the slide list to switch interaction, or type your own answer in the chat.

        Thank them, then follow up.

Show the top three, five or ten commenters, or everyone. People use the board in two ways.

        1. Thank them by name

Call out the people who keep the chat alive. It makes them feel seen, and it makes the next question easier to ask.

How to run Fantastic Fans in Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or PowerPoint

It’s the same three moves everywhere: let StreamAlive into your meeting, share your screen, ask. Here’s how StreamAlive gets in wherever you present, with a step-by-step guide for each.

Your first session won’t be a solo act.

Chat to the StreamAlive team, join a daily AMA, or follow the step-by-step guide for your platform. You can test it in a meeting with one colleague before anyone else sees it.

            Questions about Fantastic Fans

How does Fantastic Fans rank people?

By how many comments they leave in the chat. Every comment counts, and the leaderboard re-ranks as people type.

            When does it start counting?

From the moment StreamAlive is connected to your meeting, whether or not the slide is on screen. Show the slide whenever you’re ready and the count is already there.

How many people does it show?

You choose: the top three, five or ten commenters, or everyone.

            What name does it show?

The name each person uses in the chat.

            Is the ranking saved?

Yes. The final ranking is kept in your post-event report, with the number of comments each person left.

            Does it show who attended?

No. StreamAlive is an engagement tool: Fantastic Fans shows who was most active in the chat, not who was there.

How do I show it in Zoom or Teams?

Connect StreamAlive to your meeting, share your screen and pick the StreamAlive window, then open your Fantastic Fans slide. You can also put it on a PowerPoint slide with the add-in.

Thank your most active fans, live.
