Other tools ask people to get their phone out, scan a QR code, open a link and enter a code, and then they get distracted by notifications. With StreamAlive, they type in the chat.

In a Teams or Zoom meeting, “Type in the chat.” is sent in the chat and appears in the word cloud on the shared screen, which asks “How do you join this word cloud?” Everyone else’s answers follow, and the most common one grows biggest.

Your audience answers in the chat, so you can build the whole session beforehand and run it from one window, without sending anyone to a second screen.

We used to tell people to put their phones away so they wouldn’t be distracted, then later ask them to pull them out again to scan a QR code. That never sat right with us. StreamAlive removed that contradiction completely.

How to run a built session in Zoom or Teams.

  1. You build your presentation beforehand, then share one window.
  2. Your audience types in the meeting chat. That’s all they do.
  3. StreamAlive plays your slides and fills every interaction as answers arrive.
  1. Paste your Teams or Zoom meeting link into StreamAlive and press Connect. It waits in the lobby like a note-taking app. Admit it once and it starts reading the chat.

  2. Share your screen and pick the StreamAlive window. StreamAlive opens your presentation in its own browser tab, and that tab is what you share.

This is the step people miss. Your audience can only answer a question they can see.

  3. Everyone sees your question the moment you share. It’s a slide in the presentation you built beforehand.

Upload a PDF of your deck for the static slides, then add interactions between them.

  4. They type their answer in the meeting chat. No QR code, no link, no phone.

  5. Every answer lands in the slide as it’s sent, and you move on with the next slide.

  6. After the session, the report shows how much people took part and how each slide landed. Connect StreamAlive to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot and ask what the room thought.

Illustration of the six steps. The presenter pastes the meeting link into StreamAlive and presses Connect. StreamAlive waits in the meeting lobby and is admitted, then posts in the chat that it is reading the chat. The presenter presses Share and picks the StreamAlive window, a word cloud question appears on the shared screen, and answers typed in the chat land in the word cloud as they arrive. After the session, the report shows who took part and how each question landed, and an AI assistant can answer questions about it.

Built like the presentation app you already use.

Slides down the left, your slide in the middle, settings on the right. If you’ve made a deck in PowerPoint or Google Slides, you already know where everything is.

A drawing of the StreamAlive presentation builder open on the deck “Sales kickoff”: the slides down the left, the selected slide in the middle and its settings on the right. It plays through the four steps listed beside it. A new slide is added. The Interactions list, sorted by Warm up, Ask the room, Check if it landed, and Wrap up, opens and Wonder Words is picked, with the question “What are you grateful for?”. The slide is dressed in the Dark, Waves, Calm bubbles, and Earth themes. Then the slide is shown full size, as the audience sees it.

Already have a deck? Keep presenting in PowerPoint, Gamma or Canva and drop your interactions into it.

Or let AI draft the slides.

Tell the builder what your session is about and its AI writes the questions, options included. Keep the ones you like, change the rest, and add them to your presentation as slides.

A Microsoft Teams meeting. First the host shares the StreamAlive window on its own; then the host shares PowerPoint, where the same interaction sits on a slide. Questions about the presentation builder

Do I have to build my slides in StreamAlive?

No. Upload a PDF of your deck for the static slides and add interaction slides between them, or keep presenting in PowerPoint, Gamma or Canva and drop your interactions into them.

How do I add an interaction?

Press New slide and open the Interactions list. They’re sorted by the moment you’d use them: warm up, ask the room, check if it landed and wrap up. Pick one and it becomes a slide.

Can I match my brand?

Yes. Start from a ready-made theme, then change the colors and fonts. On Pro you can add your own logo and your own background images or videos.

Can AI write my questions?

Yes. Tell the builder what your session is about and its AI writes questions for you. Keep the ones you like, change the rest and delete the others.

Can I rehearse before the session?

Yes. The preview plays simulated audience responses, so you can see how each slide will look before anyone joins.

Can I use my slides from Google Slides or Keynote?

Export your deck as a PDF and upload it to StreamAlive, then add your interactions between its slides. Or keep presenting from Google Slides: it doesn’t allow embeds, so paste StreamAlive’s quick link on a slide. It opens the interaction in a browser tab, where you connect to your meeting and share that tab.

How do I present it in Zoom or Teams?

Connect StreamAlive to your meeting, then share your screen and pick the StreamAlive window. Your presentation plays from there, and the audience answers in the meeting chat.
