How to run StreamAlive on YouTube Live.

StreamAlive reads your stream’s live chat and shows the results on stream. If you’d rather not connect your channel, the StreamAlive Chrome extension reads the chat from your browser instead.

  1. Schedule or start your stream

    StreamAlive finds your stream through YouTube, so schedule it or go live first. In YouTube Studio, choose Create, then Go live.

  2. Connect your channel

    In StreamAlive, add a session and pick YouTube. Authorize your Google account, and your scheduled streams appear. Choose the one you’re about to run.

  3. Add your presentation

    Add the polls, word clouds and wheels you’ve built, or run quick interactions if you haven’t prepared a presentation.

  4. Press Present

    StreamAlive opens its presentation screen in a new tab. You can show viewers an overlay that tells them to type their answers in the chat.

  5. Put it on stream

    Show the browser window with the StreamAlive tab on your stream in your streaming tool, the way you’d show any window. Your question is already on it.

  6. Ask viewers to type

    Viewers answer in your YouTube live chat. Bars move, words grow and pins drop on stream as they type.
