Polls and word clouds from any live chat you open in Chrome.
Your streaming studio already shows the chat. The StreamAlive extension reads it right there, so viewers answer polls, word clouds and spinner wheels by commenting. It works in
StreamYard,
Restream, LinkedIn Live,
YouTube and more, with no bot to add.
In a meeting instead? StreamAlive also joins Zoom,
Microsoft Teams and
Google Meet from the meeting link, and runs on your
PowerPoint slides.

Connect from the studio you already stream in.
The extension reads the chat on the page in front of you, so there’s no bot to admit and nothing for viewers to open. You share StreamAlive into your stream like any other tab.
A drawing of a streaming studio open in a Chrome tab, “Friday live: Q&A”, with its live chat showing. The presenter clicks the StreamAlive icon in Chrome’s toolbar and then Connect. StreamAlive opens the presentation “Friday live” in a new tab. Back in the studio, the presenter shares that tab, and as viewers comment in the live chat their answers appear on the poll “Which topic should we cover next week?”.

There are loads of digital tools you can use to increase engagement in your live online sessions. But there is one that is hands-down my favorite: StreamAlive.

Just tried StreamAlive and it’s so cool. I host a lot of events so love how it’s very visual!

Questions about the StreamAlive Chrome extension
What does the StreamAlive
Chrome extension do?
It reads the live chat of a streaming or event platform open in Chrome and turns the comments into StreamAlive’s interactions: polls, word clouds, maps, spinner wheels and more. You share the StreamAlive tab into your stream so viewers see the results.
Which platforms does it work with?
StreamYard,
Restream, LinkedIn Live,
YouTube,
Twitch,
Kick,
Google Meet and Airmeet each have a step-by-step guide in the help center.
How is it different from the StreamAlive bot?
The bot joins your meeting or connects to your channel and reads the chat from there, and in Zoom,
Teams or
Meet you admit it. The extension reads the chat on the page in your browser instead, so there’s nothing to admit, and it works in studios such as
StreamYard and
Restream.
Does the chat have to be visible?
Yes. Keep your studio’s chat panel showing in its tab while you present. The extension reads the chat from the page.
Do viewers need to install anything?
No. Only you add the extension. Viewers comment in the chat as they always do.
What does StreamAlive see?
It reads the chat and uses it for your interactions. It doesn’t record your stream’s video or audio.
What does it cost?
The extension is free to add, and it works with your StreamAlive account. Sessions with up to five participants are free, and paid plans start at $100 for a pack of 4 sessions.
