Compliance quizzes in the Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet chat.

Make mandatory training something people take part in. Ask a quiz question on your shared screen and everyone answers in the Teams, Zoom or Meet chat, with no second screen and no QR code.

The usual way: present the slides, ask if that’s clear, hear nothing back and not know who followed it. With StreamAlive, people answer your questions by typing in the chat.

In a Teams or Zoom meeting, “Type in the chat.” is sent in the chat and appears in the poll on the shared screen, which asks “How do you answer in this poll?” Everyone else’s answers follow.

Nobody is put on the spot or sent to another app. Everyone answers in the chat at the same moment, so you can see whether the room understood before you move on.

We used to tell people to put their phones away so they wouldn’t be distracted, then later ask them to pull them out again to scan a QR code. That never sat right with us. StreamAlive removed that contradiction completely.

How to run a compliance poll in Teams or Zoom.

  1. You let StreamAlive into your session and share your screen.
  2. Your employees type their answers in the meeting chat. That’s all they do.
  3. StreamAlive puts every answer on your screen as it arrives.
  1. Paste your Teams or Zoom meeting link into StreamAlive and press Connect. It waits in the lobby like a note-taking app. Admit it once and it starts reading the chat.

  2. Share your screen and pick the StreamAlive window, the same way you share slides. Or present the question from your PowerPoint deck.

This is the step people miss. Your audience can only answer a question they can see.

  3. Everyone sees your question the moment you share. It’s a slide in your StreamAlive presentation, set up beforehand.

  4. They type their answer in the meeting chat. Nobody is put on the spot, and nobody needs a second screen.

  5. Every answer lands on your shared screen as it’s sent, so you can see how many understood before you move on.

  6. After the session, the report shows how many people took part, how much more they typed during your interactions, and who was most active.

Illustration of the six steps. The presenter pastes the meeting link into StreamAlive and presses Connect. StreamAlive waits in the meeting lobby and is admitted, then posts in the chat that it is reading the chat. The presenter presses Share and picks the StreamAlive window, a poll appears on the shared screen, and answers typed in the chat fill the poll bars as they arrive. After the session, the report shows who took part and how each question landed, and an AI assistant can answer questions about it.

Multiple choice questions with the answer held back.

The right answer stays hidden until you press “Show Correct Answer”. Then you talk through why it’s right.

Questions about StreamAlive for compliance training

How do I make compliance training more engaging?

Ask questions people answer, instead of slides they read. Put a quiz, poll or word cloud on your shared screen and everyone answers in the meeting chat, so the room takes part at the same time instead of listening in silence.

What does the report show?

An overview with an engagement lift (how much more people typed during your interactions than between them), a chart of the chat minute by minute, replays of every result and a ranked list of the most active participants. It measures engagement. It isn’t an attendance record or a test result.

Does StreamAlive replace our LMS?

No. StreamAlive is an engagement tool, not a testing or attendance tool. It doesn’t take attendance, grade anyone or issue certificates, so keep using your LMS for those.

Is StreamAlive secure?

StreamAlive reads the meeting chat only. It doesn’t record or access your video, audio or shared screen. It’s SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified, and the Trust Center has the details.

Open the Trust Center
Do employees need to install anything?

No. They type in the meeting chat they’re already using. In a classroom or hybrid session, people in the room use StreamAlive’s browser chat with a QR code or a short link and a code, still with no app to install.

Can employees answer anonymously?

In the meeting chat, everyone sees who wrote what, as they always do. For anonymous answers, make the chat private or use StreamAlive’s browser chat, where people can join anonymously.

Can AI write the questions?

Yes. Type a topic and StreamAlive’s AI writes a set of questions with the right answers marked. It works in English, and you should check each one against your own policy before you run it.

Does it work for on-demand compliance courses?

No. StreamAlive is for live, instructor-led sessions, where everyone answers at the same moment. It isn’t built for self-paced courses today.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Sessions with up to five participants are free, with every interaction included and no card needed. Paid plans start at $100 for a pack of 4 sessions, and Pro is $75 a month, billed annually.
